Reflection: 8-18-21

We did our first group assignment today in class. I was assigned to group 2, and was every confident that we could do the assignment. We were assigned to the poem “ Refugees in America”. Once receiving the poem i was worried about the  length of it. It is a very short poem with about 2 stanzas , and 8 lines. But the length wasn an  advantage in the end.  My role in the group was as summarizer. I had to summarize the text , list the key parts, and make a connection.  This was one of the more easy roles that others.

Reflection; 8-11-21

Today was a gloomy day. On gloomy days I tend to drag throughout the day. Multiple times I was tempted to fall asleep. Once getting to your 4th period and seeing the poetry for us to analyze I immediately got discouraged as it isn’t my strong suit. Eventually I gave in to the temptations. I may have missed important information but i’m confident I got the bulk of the lesson. I’m hoping for a more upbeat lesson tomorrow.

Reflection: 4-13-22

Today in class we read an article and answered multiple choice questions. I did much better on this one than the first one. I have gotten a hang of the process of elimination. I'm confident I'll be able to do this well on test.

Reflection : 11/29/21

Today in class we read a fictional story. In this story their was a “frame” which was like and introduction that led to a more elaborate story. Todays story was called Ambush, in the frame of this story the narrators daughter ask him has he ever killed anyone. He lied to the daughter by say no. In the next part of the story we see the event a that led up to his kill. In class we also discussed whether there could be a good or bad kill. To me they can be a good kill, in my opinion this is when you kill some one with good reason. We also talked about the theme of the story which i felt was that your past action can affect your love in the present. Todays assignment was interesting and very interactive.
