Today in class, I went to Ms.Gilmore's class. This is because you weren't here. The teachers class that we went to said that if we had a favorite teachers that wouldn't mind us going then we could go.
Today in class we learned about rhetorical devices. The first one we discussed was hyperbole, which is an exaggeration. The second was understatement. An understatement is the force of a descriptive statement that is less than what one would normally expect. Third we went over litotes, which are an emphasis on a point by using a word opposite to the condition. Fourth we learned antithesis, this makes use of a contrast in language to bring out a contrast in ideals. Lastly we were introduced to hypophora which is asking a question then proceeding to answer it.
